Deep Cleaning and First-Time Reset in Ancaster and Hamilton
Not every situation calls for the same service. Here's how to choose for your home.
If you're looking for a thorough, professional clean, you're in the right place. But 'deep clean' means different things to different people, and booking the wrong service can mean paying more than you need to, or not getting the result you expected.
This page explains the three services we offer so you can make the right call before you book.

Which Service Do You Actually Need?
Most people searching for a deep clean fall into one of three situations. Find yours below.
What's Included in Every Standard Clean
This is the same checklist that applies to your first-time reset and to every recurring visit. A standard clean is already comprehensive. Review this before deciding you need something more.
-
Vacuum/mop floors
-
Remove cobwebs
-
Dust all surfaces and items
-
Dust ceiling fans, light fixtures, blinds, and vents
-
Dust baseboards & window sills
-
Make beds
-
Clean switch plates
-
Clean & disinfect doorknobs

Need something beyond this list?
If you need something extra added to your standard clean, we have optional add-ons, such as inside oven, inside fridge (empty or full), inside cabinets (empty or full), interior windows, laundry wash and fold, change bed linens, walls, and more. These are selected during booking and added to your flat-rate price. The price for each additional service is listed on the booking form.
How a Deep Clean Works
A deep clean is a custom service. You can tell us where to focus, and we work through your priorities in order. There is no fixed checklist; you direct the session.

Please note: because deep cleaning is time-based rather than checklist-based, our standard satisfaction guarantee and reclean policy does not apply.
When a Deep Clean Makes Sense
Some situations fall outside what a standard clean or first-time reset can reasonably cover. A custom deep clean might be the right fit if:

-
Your home hasn't been professionally cleaned in a very long time and the buildup goes beyond what a reset is designed to handle
-
A heavily neglected oven or fridge that needs dedicated attention beyond an add-on
-
Post-renovation dust and debris throughout the home
-
A landlord who needs specific areas addressed before a new tenant
-
A space that got away from you, such as a garage, a spare room, an area that's been closed off for a while
-
A home with a hoarding* history that's been cleared but needs a thorough pass
-
Any one-off situation that doesn't fit neatly into our standard services
We'll talk through what you're dealing with before we quote anything, so there are no surprises on either side.
* Please note: We don't take on active hoarding situations or biohazard cleanup. If you're not sure whether your situation qualifies, just reach out and we'll let you know honestly.
The First-Time Reset: What It is and When It Applies
Your first visit with Cascade is the most thorough clean your home will get. We work through a more detailed checklist than a regular maintenance visit: door frames, window sills and tracks, baseboards wiped down rather than just dusted, furniture vacuumed underneath and behind. The goal is to bring every surface to a genuine baseline so that every clean after this one maintains it efficiently.

First-time resets typically take about twice as long as a standard visit. That time is what makes the difference. If it's been a while between since your house was professionally cleaned, or if you've never had a professional clean before, a maintenance clean isn't designed to address the build-up. The reset is.

After that first visit, every subsequent clean follows the standard checklist at the standard flat rate (no reset fee) as long as you rebook within 30 days. Most clients notice their home gets easier to maintain with each visit.
The reset fee is calculated automatically during booking based on your home size. You'll see the exact total before you confirm.
The goal of the first-time reset is to bring every surface to a genuine baseline so that every clean after this one maintains it efficiently.
Still not sure which to book?
If you're genuinely unsure, a standard clean with the first-time reset is the right starting point for most homes. It's a complete, room-by-room clean at a flat rate. You'll see the full price before you book.

Common Questions about Deep Cleaning in Ancaster and Hamilton
Is a deep clean more thorough than a standard clean?
Not necessarily. Our standard clean is already comprehensive, covering every room with the same level of detail most people expect from a deep clean. The difference is not thoroughness; it is focus and format. A standard clean covers your whole home at a flat rate. A deep clean gives you the chance to customize your service or to direct it at specific areas. If you are unsure which you need, read the checklist above.
What is the first-time reset, and do I have to pay it?
The first-time reset is an additional fee applied to your first standard clean when your home has not been professionally cleaned in 30 or more days. It reflects the extra time and effort required to bring the home to a proper baseline. The fee is calculated automatically based on your home size and is shown clearly during booking before you confirm. It is a one-time fee. Every clean after that is booked at the standard rate, as long as you rebook within 30 days.
Can I book a deep clean as my first visit?
Yes. Anyone can book a deep clean at any time. If you want to book a customized cleaning for a particular situation, you can do that regardless of when your home was last cleaned. If you are looking for a full whole-home clean, a standard clean with the first-time reset is likely the better fit and the better value.
Does the deep clean follow the same checklist as a standard clean?
No. In a deep clean, you are setting up a custom clean, not following a checklist. We will work through your priorities in the order you give us, and we will tell you realistically how long the task will take. Some tasks take longer than others depending on the condition of the area.

If you're looking for a deep clean of your whole home, that is a first-time reset. First-time resets have their own checklist that are separate from standard cleans. You can view the first-time reset checklist here.
Will a deep clean convert to a recurring plan?
It can if it covered the whole home, not just one area. If you book a first-time reset clean and want to set up regular maintenance afterward, you can book a standard clean at any time. If you book your next standard clean within 30 days of the reset clean, the first-time reset fee does not apply.
What areas do you serve?
We serve Ancaster, Hamilton, Dundas, Stoney Creek, Burlington, Oakville, Grimsby, Waterdown, Flamborough, Milton, and surrounding areas in the greater Hamilton region.
