A standard clean maintains a home that is already in good order. A move-in clean is something else entirely. When the previous occupants leave, they take their familiarity with the space — and often their cleaning standards — with them. What remains is a home that needs to be understood from scratch: the grease that accumulated quietly behind the stove, the dust settled into cabinet corners, the residue in appliance drawers that nobody thought to open.

An empty home is also the best possible time to clean it properly. With no furniture to work around, every surface is accessible. Every corner is reachable. We take full advantage of that window before your move-in date to deliver a level of thoroughness that simply isn't possible once you're settled in.

Our move-in service covers everything a standard recurring clean does, plus the following areas that require dedicated attention in a transition clean:

• Inside appliances: Oven interior, fridge shelving and drawers, and microwave — cleaned and deodorized.

• Inside cabinets and drawers: Every cabinet and drawer wiped clean before your dishes, pantry items, and linens go in.

• Baseboards and trim: Hand-wiped throughout the home; it's easier to do properly when rooms are empty.

• Window sills and tracks: Sills wiped down and tracks cleared of debris — the detail that most cleans skip.

The ideal window is after the previous occupants have moved out and before your own furniture arrives. This is typically a one to three day gap, and it's the most valuable window you'll have.

 

Once boxes are in and furniture is placed, access becomes limited and certain areas become difficult or impossible to reach properly.

If your move-in timeline is tight and you need the clean done the same day as possession, we can accommodate that with advance notice. However, the home must be empty of contractors or movers in order for us to work effectively.

 

We recommend booking as early as possible, particularly for moves scheduled on weekends or at the end of the month, when demand in Hamilton is highest.

Do I need to be present during the clean?

No. Many clients provide access via key or lockbox and return to a completed home. We'll notify you when the clean is done.

How long does a move-in clean take?

Typically three to six hours depending on the size of the home and its condition. We'll give you a realistic estimate when you request a quote.

What if I'm not satisfied with the result?

We stand behind our work. If something was missed or doesn't meet your expectations, contact us within 24 hours and we'll return to address it at no additional charge.
